AT&T Inc. has closed its $300 million acquisition of applications services provider USinternetworking Inc. (USi).
The Bell company said in September it was eyeing USi for its software, e-business management services and consulting experience. USi specializes in managed enterprise software and on-demand services for business software from companies such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Microsoft, IBM WebSphere and Ariba. The company also develops, hosts and manages e-commerce platforms.
USi is being folded into AT&T’s enterprise services division, the unit that offers enterprise hosting and managed services.
AT&T said it expects to keep USi’s managers, as well as the company’s domestic and international operations.
