Canadian VoIP provider Comwave Telecom Inc. said Thursday it will use RADCOM Ltd.’s Omni-Q platform to monitor the QoS in its VoIP network. Comwave will use Omni-Q to collect, monitor and analyze voice quality and traffic performance.

Omni-Q covers real-time, near-real-time, ad hoc and dashboard reporting and display capabilities.

“It will directly enhance the way Comwave serves our customers by allowing us to proactively contact customers when their service level or quality is undermined,” said Yuval Barzakay, president of Comwave.

The system purchase includes the R70, which is powered by Gear Set, RADCOM’s proprietary processing engine. LINUX-based, the R70 enables data processing at a rate of up to 10gbps.
