Avaya Inc.said Friday it has offered to buy Britain-based Ubiquity Software Corp. for approximately $144 million in cash.
Avaya would pay 37.3 pence, or 73 cents, for every Ubiquity share.
Ubiquity develops and markets SIP-based software for fixed and mobile communications service providers, systems integrators, independent software vendors and channel partners. Avaya builds the networks that use the software.
The Ubiquity board of directors has endorsed the deal.
