Stoke Inc. has made its Stoke Session Exchange (SSX), an integrated hardware and software platform that enables network operators to deliver multimedia services concurrently over fixed and wireless broadband networks, commercially available.
Stoke said the SSX is a multiaccess convergence gateway designed to address security, QoS and mobility challenges across different broadband access options. The SSX manages subscriber sessions over multiple network access types including fixed, cellular, Wi-Fi and WiMAX.
Stoke also said it has received $20 million in an over-subscribed Series C financing round, bringing the company’s total funding to date to more than $50 million. The latest investment will be used to increase its sales and marketing activities and further advance the development of the product, the company said.
