Motorola Inc. has completed its $208 million acquisition of Netopia Inc.
Motorola has acquired all outstanding shares of Netopia common stock. Netopia will be integrated into Mortorola’s Connected Home Solutions business.
Netopia provides broadband customer premises equipment (CPE) and remote management software for DSL networks. Products for end users include wired and wireless modems, routers and gateways delivering voice, video and data.
Motorola said it will use Netopia’s expertise to extend its own wares for broadband home networking and access. The company will now offer carriers a full suite of home CPE and remote management software.
The deal was first announced in November.
