XO Communications has signed a multimillion dollar agreement to exclusively use Hatteras Networks Inc.’s HN4000 and HN400 in its Ethernet network, the companies said.
XO currently is deploying the platform to expand the reach of its Ethernet services in 60 metropolitan markets.
XO’s Ethernet services are designed to deliver bandwidth over fiber, broadband wireless and copper. The services let businesses connect local area networks within and between metropolitan areas and provide transport for high-speed Internet access at speeds ranging from 10mbps to 100mbps and 1gbps and 10gbps.
