mFoundry inc., a mobile application platform provider, announced it is working with Verizon Wireless on a banking and financial services solution. Verizon Wireless is expected to support the mFoundry Spotlight Financial Platform, which would offer an easy, secure way for Verizon Wireless customers to access and manage their financial relationships, said mFoundry.
The Spotlight Financial Platform enables financial institutions to create mobile applications that run seamlessly and independently within the Spotlight solution. The platform accommodates various types of financial services content, including banking, brokerage, credit, stored-value, coupons and payment solutions. Its components can be branded, customized and maintained by participating financial institutions.
Banks using Spotlight to deliver full-service mobile banking can enable customers to check account balances, search for transactions, transfer funds, receive and pay their bills, and find ATMs and branches, said mFoundry. Other financial institutions can use the Spotlight Development Platform to create customized applications that can be accessed from within the application.
