Veraz Networks Inc. has come out with a new release of its IMS solution, the ControlSwitch-USC, which allows different service providers to combine their services as desired, offering carriers even more opportunities to create new bundled offerings.
The ControlSwitch-USC leverages advanced Service Broker/SCIM (Service Capabilities Interaction Manager) to expand service options, facilitate service customization, and simplify back-office integration, by decoupling service resources from the underlying network. Integrated SCIM management enables speedier trials, deployments and user adoption by simplifying service provisioning, activation, billing, and reporting across various service platforms.
This SOA-based offer also includes integrated protocol mediation and SIP profiling techniques to support multiple generations of devices and standards.
Veraz yesterday announced that broadband wireless provider ONEMAX would use its products for an IMS over WiMAX deployment. ONEMAX is the first commercial mediacom operator to offer Internet, multimedia and VoIP services over mobile WiMAX (802.16e) in the Dominican Republic, and one of the first to offer IMS over WiMAX services in the Americas, according to Veraz.
ONEMAX chose Veraz's User Services Core to offer its subscribers VoIP and IP-based multimedia services while Veraz's ControlSwitch and I-Gate 4000 series of media gateways will enable ONEMAX to connect to other operators.
