XO Communications will provide wavelength services to NTT America Inc., a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp.
NTT America will use the XO wavelength services to expand the capacity of its network, connect multiple data centers and points of presence on its backbone and support its service delivery, the company said. XO will provide multiple 10gbps wavelength circuits to NTT America connecting regional and coast-to-coast locations across the United States.
XO carrier wavelength services provide increased network capacity to support data, Internet, video and multimedia streaming applications. The services can utilize existing ATM, frame relay, SONET and IP equipment.
