BroadSoft, rumored to be among the next VoIP vendors in line to do an IPO, today announced two new board members.

Thomas N. Kelly Jr., former chief strategy officer for Sprint Nextel, will bring to BroadSoft his deep experience in wireless, a key area of focus for BroadSoft, said Scott Wharton, BroadSoft’s vice president of marketing.

Douglas L. Maine, former CFO for IBM and pre-WorldCom MCI, is strong on the corporate governance front and knows how to scale a company, Wharton said.

“Tom and Doug are valuable additions to BroadSoft’s board,” said Michael Tessler, president and CEO for BroadSoft.“They both bring expertise from companies that are global industry leaders, and serve on the boards of other dynamic companies. Tom’s strategic-planning expertise, and Doug’s demonstrable success at increasing the market value of a company will help steer BroadSoft to further success.”

Kelly is currently on the boards of Gracenote, Inc., Scotts Miracle-Gro, the Weston Playhouse Theater Group and the Greater D.C. Sports Alliance.

Maine is currently a director of Rockwood Holdings, Alliant Techsystems and Long Lines LLC.
