TiVo Inc. customers can now order movies from Amazon.com Inc. directly from their DVRs, the companies said Tuesday.
The companies had teamed in February to allow users to download movies with the Amazon Unbox service, but they had to go through Amazon.com on a computer first.
Now customers can complete the transaction straight from their TiVo boxes using a remote control.
The feature works with TiVo Series2 and Series3 broadband-connected DVRs and rented movies will cost.
