Hibernia Atlantic said Thursday it will offer direct Ethernet connection from telx in New York to Telehouse London in 50mbps increments to their online buyers.
The company's online ordering system for its bandwidth enables customers to purchase private, direct capacity. Hibernia Atlantic's service includes wholesale capacity at 50mbps Layer 2 packet over sonet (POS) Ethernet.
Hibernia Atlantic is offering its New York to London route for $999 per 50mgbs Ethernet increments. The monthly fee does not include cross-connects, the company said.
Hibernia Atlantic also is delivering 10gbps Ethernet Lan-Phy capacity across the Atlantic Ocean. The company has added an additional 80 wavelengths of capacity onto its secure terrestrial and submarine cables and recently increased its network footprint to include 42 cities and 52 network points of presence. Also by fourth quarter of 2008, the company said it will complete a new network build that will connect Iceland to Ireland, North America and continental Europe.
