Customers of IPsmarx Technology Inc.’s softswitch solution now can offer video over IP to their end users using the Grandstream Networks Inc. GXV3000 IP video phone and the IPsmarx SmarxVideo module.
“The new SmarxVideo module will enable IPsmarx Softswitch owners to provide cutting-edge solutions to their customers,” said Ludy Reveron, IPsmarx’s vice president of sales. “As one of only a few companies to offer video over IP, we are extremely proud to give our clients new opportunities to grow their businesses while offering the latest in next-generation technologies to their own customers.”
IPsmarx’s SmarxVideo provides service provider clients with simultaneous voice and video support and added features to personalize and unify communications for residential and business users.
The Grandstream GXV3000 is an IP video phone based on SIP and the H.264/H.263 standard, and it supports real-time (up to 30 frames per second) video at modest bandwidth levels — as low as 32kbps, and up to 1mbps, the company said.
