California-based Zhone Technologies Inc. will help Greek operator ON Telecoms deploy Ethernet in the first mile to businesses.
ON Telecoms will use Zhone’s MALC access platform, EtherXtend subscriber site equipment and the Zhone Management System in Greece’s Attica region.
Zhone said those ON Telecoms customers now will have an alternative to expensive leased line service, which has been their only option when they need premium service guarantees.
