Holy moly. Can it be true? Regional ISP Frontier Communications is talking about limiting users’ monthly download capacity. Sounds like a recipe for lawsuits and protests – over civil rights, maybe, or just plain ol’ freedom of speech. More to the point, this proposal presents an urgent reason for net neutrality advocates to sharpen those legal pencils and get to work. Beyond that, if Frontier decides to impinge on what users can and cannot do, it’s a safe bet subscriber numbers will plummet.
