The launch of XO Communications’ (XOHO) new Ethernet Hub is expected to give customers access to the company’s Ethernet footprint through a single point.

A carrier who purchases the Ethernet Hub will have access to more than 4 million buildings nationwide, thereby expanding the carriers reach, with minimal cost.

The Ethernet Hub requires no conversion or protocol changes on the part of the carrier, which enables international carriers to enter the U.S. market more easily.

Ethernet is projected to grow to a $25 billion market by 2010, according to Infonetics Research, an international market research and consulting firm specializing in data networking and telecom.
