Qualcomm Inc. wants to make sure that you’re anywhere but a connectivity desert with Gobi, its multimodal chipset that can connect to, well, just about anything.
CDMA? Check. GSM? Check. Global band coverage? Check.
The chipset, announced at the last CTIA, in April, will make its commercial debut in Panasonic’s line of Toughbook computers for the Verizon Wireless network, beginning in October. So if you’re the type that finds herself in Beijing one day, and Sri Lanka the next, take note.
