MegaPath Inc. now offers an Ethernet-over-copper solution to companies in buildings not reached by fiber and/or for whom DS3 is considered too pricey.
The managed 10mbps symmetrical service, for which MegaPath did not provide pricing, comes with a business-class router, 50 e-mail accounts, 100 MB of Web space, 10 GB per month of data transfer for the customers’ Web space, DNS hosting for one domain, and static IP addresses. It is backed by service-level agreements that guarantee reliability and 24x7 monitoring and support services. In addition, customers have online access to a Web portal for billing and account management.
“As companies look to their wide-area networks and Internet connections to support critical business applications, MegaPath is working to deliver the greatest number of options for cost effectively increasing productivity,” said Beth Tyebjee, senior vice president of marketing at MegaPath. “With our new Ethernet-over-copper service, MegaPath is again expanding our offerings to provide customers the flexibility to choose the connection speed and value-added services to best support their business objectives.”
