IP services innovator SureWest Communications Inc. (SURW) has begun aggressively pushing its residential VoIP service it launched in mid-April by including it in what could be the lowest priced triple play bundle yet.
Consumers that commit to a one-year agreement to Digital National Phone get Internet access at up to 3 mbps and Digital Basic TV (78 channels) free for the first six months, with the bundle costing only $39.99 a month for a half of the year. That doesn’t include taxes and fees.
The unlimited local and national calling VoIP service comes with 22 features, including voice mail that can be managed via the web using the carrier’s Phone Manager feature.
After the first six months, users pay $120 month for the three services combined, not including taxes and fees.
For a discounted rate, customers can upgrade their Internet and Digital TV packages. As a bonus offer, SureWest adds, the customer also has the option of taking its $10.99/month HDTV service, or four additional set top boxes, valued at $5.99 each per month, for 50 percent off for six months.
SureWest’s digital television offering has more than 260 channels, 50 high-definition channels, 28 channels of international programming and more than 400 hours of programming per month accessible via on-demand. Digital Basic features a subset of this overall package.
In March, the carrier took the wraps of a Web-based, nationwide, video home monitoring service. SureWest has also been a leader in providing symmetric high-speed Internet services to residences.
