Multiservice access products vendor Zhone Technologies Inc. (ZHNE) yesterday announced a new Release 1.14 of its common software base for the company’s platforms.
Zhone’s Single Line Multi-Service (SLMS) access operating system provides intelligent MSAP, FTTx and EFM functionality on the company’s multiple hardware products, offering advanced capabilities and consistent operational interfaces.
By leveraging SLMS throughout its networks, Zhone claims operators secure greater competitive advantage through more rapid deployment of new service differentiation as well as reduced costs of operation, training, sparing, and back office management.
The latest SLMS release adds functionality in a number of areas, including advanced networking, quality of service, voice, security and management, according to Zhone.
