BillSoft Inc. unveiled today at the COMPTEL PLUS show a new addition to the EZGeo product line — EZGeo Pinpoint. The solution allows users to obtain via the Internet addresses and specific tax jurisdictions verified by the U.S. Postal Service.
Accurate customer address information is a critical part of any mail piece, the company said, because errors cost valuable marketing dollars and lead to lost revenue as a result of billing delays. For companies that offer communications services, obtaining the correct taxing jurisdiction is difficult due to changing and/or overlapping jurisdiction boundaries. EZGeo Pinpoint provides a real-time solution for both of these situations.
EZGeo Pinpoint users visit BillSoft’s secure Web site and submit a customer’s address. The Web site then returns several pieces of critical data, including the validated Postal Service address, geocoded address, BillSoft jurisdiction code, plain description of the taxing jurisdiction, FIPS code, score of the match, designation of incorporated versus unincorporated, and determination of any special tax districts.
The underlying product also is certified by the Florida DOR for jurisdiction assignment, giving users the assurance that their Florida customers are set up correctly for billing and taxation.
“Whether a CSR wants a quick lookup to add the information to the customer record, or the billing department needs to verify an address, EZGeo Pinpoint offers a very nice solution,” said BillSoft President Vicki Klein.
