Wal-Mart is solidifying its status as the diva of exclusive discounting (need a giant jar of pickles for under $3, perchance?) by selling the T-Mobile USA G1 phone, powered by Google Android, for $31.11 less than one could buy it via T-Mobile directly.
Starting Wednesday, the retailer will “roll back” the gadget’s price to $148.88 for new customers with a two-year contract, and for existing customers eligible for an upgrade.
And we thought snagging exclusive distribution rights for AC/DC’s new album was a coup.
