General Telecom, a provider of outsourced switching solutions for telecom carriers, launched its latest managed service offering, GT RouteNGN.
Developed to enhance the performance of VoIP communication platforms, GT RouteNGN is a hosted application that enables service providers to manage relationships between several routing components, including other carriers, endpoints, regions, dial codes and rates. GT RouteNGN allows providers to administer complex routing processes while handling a greater volume of traffic, the company said. The application also facilitates profit-threshold routing or least-cost routing to offer additional savings.
“GT RouteNGN is about speed — speed in complex routing, speed in deployment and speed to market, all of which increase profitability,” said Randy Weinberger, vice president and general manager of General Telecom. “Additionally, by incorporating profit-threshold routing, service providers can dynamically route traffic to carriers while setting and maintaining minimum profit margins, ensuring maximum return on all calls.”
