Call the doctor, WebMD has got the vapors! The company’s status as the No. 1 online health site is in jeopardy now that Waterfront Media and Revolution LLC's Revolution Health Network have agreed to merge.
Terms were undisclosed.
Waterfront operates the Everyday Health Network while Revolution LLC’s holdings include RevolutionHealth.com.
AOL’s Steve Case founded Revolution LLC. He’ll join the Waterfront Media board while Benjamin Wolin, CEO and co-founder of Waterfront Media will serve as CEO of the combined company.
The deal will not, as they say, be a shot in the arm for WebMD.
