WiMAX engineers can now use test company WirelessLogix’s XCAP-X software-based analysis tool to collect performance metrics from devices based on semiconductor player Wavesat Inc.’s Odyssey 8500 chipset, then perform troubleshooting and detailed analysis to optimize network deployment and system performance.
The news of the two’s interoperability came at WiMAX World 2008, going on this week in Chicago.
"We are receiving tremendous interest from OEMs and service providers for our multimode Odyssey chipset," said Vijay Dube, executive vice president of marketing and COO at Wavesat. "We're pleased to be working with WirelessLogix to provide our customers with highly developed diagnostic and test solutions, which in turn will help reduce the time-to-market for their products."
