No, this isn’t necessarily related to a position he might be offered in President-elect Barack Obama’s administration. Rather, there’s talk that Schmidt is turning his attention to all things involving green energy.
The rumors make sense. Schmidt helped turn Google into the Internet powerhouse it is and it’s no secret the company is interested in other sectors such as energy. And people do get bored once they’ve reach the pinnacle of success in their chosen field. So, we could watch Schmidt go political or environmental. Either way, his choices will be interesting to watch.
