The struggling equipment maker — sorry, we had to say it — said Tuesday it’s looking for developers to participate in its MOTODEV Widget Developer Challenge.
The challenge is open to all registered MOTODEV developers. Motorola is accepting submissions through Feb. 27, 2009, in three main categories: Best Widget, Best Local Content, Best Use of APIs. Best Overall Widget will take home the most cash and prizes, including loads of recognition at CTIA Wireless.
Motorola also released its first mobile device, the MOTO VE66, that comes with a widgets framework.
