You don’t have to have an Apple iPhone, BlackBerry Storm or Google Android G1 handset to get real mobile Internet: you know, with color and graphics and the same Web site view you get on the PC. At least, that’s the goal of Skyfire’s mobile browser, which this week became available for over-the-air download in the U.K. and for sideloading from a PC. Previously, it was available only by download to North American numbers.
Skyfire runs on Windows Mobile and Symbian/Nokia devices — handsets whose native browsers have precluded users from having a true mobile Internet experience.
