Time Warner Cable beat AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. in added broadband customers in the third quarter. But there was no hotdogging in the end zone over it: The MSO’s CEO Glenn Britt said it would be “naïve” to think a worsening economy would have no impact on TWC’s business.
Accordingly, the cableco lowered its revenue guidance for the full year from between 9 and 11 percent to 8 percent.
TWC added 214,000 new broadband subscribers for the quarter.
