Just two days after AT&T Inc. (T) unveiled a portfolio of professional Web hosting services aimed at the SMB set, Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) is expanding its managed hosting offer with tools that make it easier for business customers around the world to update their Web pages.
The new Application Management Service, based on Alterian (ALN) Content Management Enterprise Edition – Morello, allows users to drag and drop content directly from their desktop into the interface, and then preview the Web pages exactly as they will appear online.
Verizon Business customer, the Welsh Assembly Government, is among the first users of the service, which is available globally now.
