Aussies Get Second-Ever Google Android Handset

Throw another Google on the barbie, mates! The second-ever handset — actually, two of them ― based on Google Inc.’s Android mobile OS, are set to land Down Under. And they could make their way up here.

The unlocked phones, dubbed the Agora and Agora Pro, are from Australia-based Kogan. They’ll be sold for $225 and $295, respectively, without SIM cards and activated via the Kogan Web site. That means GSM subscribers here — i.e. AT&T Inc. and T-Mobile USA fans — could purchase and use the phones stateside. Though support might be an issue.
