Three veterans of the cable industry have formed a venture capital group aimed at helping startup companies get off the ground.

David Fellows, Jeffrey Binder and Vin Bisceglia founded Genovation Capital LLC last summer. They believe putting their heads together could help someone develop a product that could change the communications industry.

Fellows is a former CTO at Comcast. Binder is the founder of Broadbus Technologies, a video server that Motorola acquired last year for $200 million. Bisceglia is the former chairman and CEO of Broadbus.
