Just say no to Verizon.
That’s what Comcast is asking the Philadelphia City Council to do, as Verizon tries to get a franchise in that city for its FiOS video and broadband services.
The cable giant thinks the phone giant won’t end up serving the entire community, which Comcast is required to do. Telco service providers have been guilty of only targeting more affluent neighborhoods on occasion.
