If you were among those who thought a slow economy would put the kibosh on corporate efforts to go green, you’d be wrong.
A new report from Forrester Research finds just the opposite – that 38 percent of companies will maintain their green initiatives, 10 percent will accelerate them and 5 percent will cut down on them.
The scary number is the remaining 47 percent of respondents who said it’s too early to know whether they’ll reduce “going green” spending.
Regardless, a key piece of data for service providers is this: Businesses are making “green” a big criteria in their IT equipment and supplier purchasing decisions. That smells like opportunity to us.
