SureWest Launches Feature-Rich Customer Portal

SureWest Communications (SURW) has announced the launch of My SureWest, a new and improved personalized customer home page which delivers all of the company’s services and features.

In addition to personalized news, sports and entertainment, customers can access SureWest online bill pay, customer support, customer rewards programs and enhanced e-mail services through My SureWest. Customers, the operator says, do not have to search both the SureWest.com and SureWest.net sites to locate valuable information.

My SureWest is currently available to customers in the company’s greater Sacramento, Calif. market with plans to expand the site to its Kansas City region in 2009.

Another differentiator is that My SureWest is accessible to all SureWest customers, including those without its Internet service. SureWest customers can create a My SureWest account using other e-mail IDs such as Hotmail, Google or Yahoo!, according to the telco.

SureWest aims to enhance the customer experience by offering a Google search engine, live personalized news, sports, entertainment, weather and stocks, and TV channel lineup viewing, as well as access to SureWest e-mail, customer support links, product announcements, interactive management of services such as Digital Phone and environmentally friendly online bill pay.

Also, My SureWest features the SureWest Rewards program, where customers receive special gifts and other rewards just for being a customer.

“Everything a customer wants or needs related to their services with SureWest can be found at My SureWest,” said Peter Drozdoff, SureWest’s vice president of marketing, in prepared comments. “We have created a sophisticated and dynamic online destination for SureWest customers where they can create customized news updates, communicate with friends and family, or access all of our customer services.”
