European CLEC COLT (COLT) has selected Carrier Ethernet gear from Overture Networks to deliver a new suite of E-Line and E-LAN managed services.
The deal includes Overture’s full line of ISG 34, ISG 45, ISG 180 and ISG 26 gear for Ethernet access and demarcation; and the ISG 6000 for first level aggregation.
The Overture products support Hierarchical Quality of Service (HQoS) and integrated provisioning tools.
In an interview with xchange last month about its acquisition of fellow Carrier Ethernet vendor Ceterus Networks, new Overture CEO Jeffy Reedy said the new company has 10 out of 15 top Ethernet carriers in the U.S. and, Overture has a foothold in Europe as well.
