A new report from Standard & Poor’s says telecommunications companies will lose more wireline customers this year. Shocking news, probably not.
The report says more and more people are turning to wireless and abandoning their landlines. Others are leaving telcos entirely and signing up with cable companies for phone service.
S&P believes carriers can expect to lose roughly between 5 and 12 percent in 2009.
