It’s dangerous for operators to assume that bright spot offerings will fare as well in tough times as in good times, without any extra effort in pitching them. The same holds true for other previously successful offerings.

Some suggest that’s exactly the case with unified communications services, adding that tough economic times require a modified sales strategy and, of course, extra effort. Simply maintaining the pre-economy meltdown status quo is a recipe for trouble.

Operators that move beyond that questionable approach stand to benefit from unified communications services, which, thankfully, were already a bright spot for carriers.
