The WiMAX Forum has announced Dr. Roger Marks and XJ Wang have been added to its management team.
Marks, who most recently was a senior vice president at NextWave Wireless, will serve as vice president of technology standards. Wang, who left his position as a vice president at Yankee Group, will be senior director of marketing.
"The WiMAX Forum as the industry organization representing the WiMAX global ecosystem seized the opportunity to fortify our team with two seasoned and respected industry leaders with the necessary experience to establish synergies with our technical, standards and marketing efforts," said Ron Resnick, president and chairman of the WiMAX Forum.
The WiMAX Forum’s goal is to get WiMAX adopted globally as the broadband solution of choice for 4G among the growing worldwide ecosystem of operators and technology suppliers.
