Yahoo! reportedly could choose a new CEO as early as next week.
The company is not talking publicly about the discussions, but Carol Bartz, former CEO of Autodesk Inc., apparently is among the candidates. A search to replace Jerry Yang started in mid-November, when he stepped down from his post as chief executive officer.
Yahoo!’s stock plummeted last year and didn’t recover much until it rose 10 percent on word of Yang’s departure.
