Ah, the Flash player. A lack of it has been a thorn in Apple Inc.’s side, since the iPhone doesn’t have it. That makes it tough to surf the Flash-riddled Web, and has even led to government censuring in Britain for Apple’s claim to deliver the “true Internet.”
So when Adobe Software said it was working on a Flash player, it seemed like great news. But users shouldn’t hold their breath as the development of iPhone Flash is not as easy as originally thought.
This weekend, in an interview with Bloomberg News at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen said: “It’s a hard technical challenge, and that’s part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating,” adding “The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver.”
Back to waiting.
