Cavalier Telephone LLC Monday announced the launch of Intellifiber Networks, an independently run, wholly owned division created to serve the enterprise, wholesale and government markets.
Intellifiber Networks owns and operates more than 16,000 miles of fiber-optic network across the United States. Its product suite includes private networks, SONET, wavelength, Ethernet, data and voice. Existing and new customers will experience innovations in a broad range of service areas such as provisioning, proactive customer care and more.
Clint Heiden has been named president of the new organization. He brings nearly two decades of executive experience with telecommunications and Internet corporations. He has held management positions at companies including Cable & Wireless America, Exodus, Qwest and UUNET.
"With more than $1 billion invested in our fiber network, we see a great opportunity to bring together management experience and infrastructure with a fresh and innovative approach to service,” said Heiden. “Even in this tough economic climate, data-heavy applications and communications devices are driving bandwidth demand, and it is our firm belief that old-school network service models won’t work anymore. Intellifiber’s mission is to optimize customers’ budgets, deliver service excellence and ensure satisfaction above and beyond expectations.”
