Communications software maker Tektronix Communications fell in line with the LTE craze at Mobile World Congress when it introduced K2Air, a monitoring system that supports Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks and comes with special Uu Interface capabilities.
The K2Air probe troubleshoots LTE networks and works with the Tektronix Network and Service Analyzer. It also monitors wireline networks, in addition to the expected wireless coverage.
"Despite the impact of the declining global economy, LTE technology development and market progress are accelerating at an increased speed," said Martin Kuerzinger, vice president and general manager of Test & Optimization at Tektronix. “Consumers expect the latest services and applications, and therefore it is imperative for network suppliers and operators not only to remain one step ahead, but maintain the highest levels of quality as these new services are commercially deployed."
