Call it an identity crisis: T-Mobile USA will soon be launching the Samsung Memoir handset, which looks and acts like a high-end digital camera. But it’s also a phone.
The 8-megapixel camera, which has no announced launch date or price, comes with a Xenon Flash and the ability to upload photos directly to online photo sharing sites like Flickr. And, the Memoir has all the smartphone accoutrements. For instance, a full HTML browser, a virtual QWERTY keyboard and multimedia features.
It doesn’t have everything, however: no Wi-Fi.
