German software outfit SAP AG(SAP) this week is expected to unveil its plans to enter the cloud computing space.
The company, which has been described in the past as a slow-moving behemoth, is apparently ready to join the ranks of those software companies offering their product on demand.
Salesforce.com started the on-demand trends several years ago.
