Eastern U.S.-based CLEC Cavalier Telephony LLC has been awarded government contracts for voice, data and Internet services in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Cavalier’s suite of services will be available through GSA contracts to all federal government agencies with local offices in the four states. The seven-year contracts, announced at the COMPTEL PLUS Convention & Expo in Dallas this week, are worth up to $113 million.
Cavalier, a facilities-based carrier, is no stranger to government markets: It serves the U.S. Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs and Treasury along with the federal court system.
"This significant win for Cavalier was the result of two years of proposal development, product customization and a rigorous evaluation process in which Cavalier demonstrated the value, expertise and commitment it provides to government agencies and contractors,” said Mike Magliato, director of government markets for Cavalier. “These same benefits of reliability, flexibility, and breadth of service offerings apply to all areas of Cavalier’s business — not only government but business and consumer customers as well.”
