As expected, Skype is officially available for the iPhone as of Tuesday, and will soon launch a client for BlackBerry.
The client, which is limited to Wi-Fi (no VoIP over 3G for you, iPhone users!), provides a native way to access the No. 1 international voice provider, butfaces competition from companies like Fring, TruPhone and Nimbuzz, which already offer a way to access Skype via the iPhone, plus more.
Skype has already been announced on Windows Mobile, Google’s Android and Nokia phones. The BlackBerry client will come later in the Spring.
