Oracle (ORCL) says its new Sourcing On Demand, a SaaS offering, drives more efficient and effective strategic sourcing.
It’s preconfigured and supposed to reduce time-to-value and accelerate ROI. Sourcing On Demand helps eliminate IT inhibitors like protracted upgrade cycles and privacy and security restrictions. It also allows organizations to reduce the capital expense of purchasing hardware, according to the company.
"Sourcing capabilities can deliver immediate impact to an organization's bottom line, helping offset the effects of shrinking revenue,” said Cliff Godwin, Oracle senior vice president of Application Development. “We think that the time is right for a solution that can drive big cost reductions without requiring extensive capital expenditures or additional IT resources."
