Making seamless broadband connectivity real is getting more support. Alcatel-Lucent has added Atlantic Records, Kyocera Communications, LearningMate and MediaTile to its ng Connect Program, whose goal it is to make anytime, anywhere, any device, any network content and services a reality.
ALU announced the ng Connect Program at Mobile World Congress in February. It’s a multi-industry initiative dedicated to establishing a rich and diverse ecosystem of infrastructure, devices, content and applications for both mobile and fixed broadband networks. That includes LTE, GPON and other ultra high bandwidth technologies.
Imagine: a richer, mobile and interactive music experience, the possibilities of a connected car, or dynamic advertising experiences with digital signage.
Members span the industries of consumer electronics, mobile gaming, digital signage, automotive connectivity, social networking and computing experience. The other 18 members include 4DK, Buzznet, chumby, Connect2Media, dimedis, FISHLABS, Hewlett-Packard Co., QNX, Samsung, SIGNEXX, Total Immersion, TuneWiki and Words & Numbers.
