Ethernet services company Banverket ICT of Sweden says it has successfully completed a live field trial, running 10G, 40G and 100G simultaneously on its fiber network. The company was using a Nortel optical solution. It happened over a distance of about 500 miles.
Banverket ICT is one of Sweden’s largest network service suppliers. The company says this test shows how the Nortel solution can greatly improve Banverket’s services and will allow the company to meet customer demand for more bandwidth in the future.
